Aidan Weinglas Subject: RE: my secret health condition

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for confiding in me about your medical condition and I will keep that confidential, of course. I do know what it feels like to be in the minority (having grown up Jewish and of course homosexuality) so I feel I can say that I identify somewhat with you having to bear the load of a secret.

Be well,

Aidan

SUBJECT: Can I tell you a medical secret?

        Aidan,

As long as we are in the midst of discussing medical matters, I feel I should tell

you I DO have a pre-existing condition, which is called Situs Inversus. Basically

what that means is that my heart is on the opposite side of where it should be and

has been since birth. But I have had no symptoms and ironically have been praised

for having a big heart :).

But possibly this could infect our insurance rates? I don’t know.

Please don’t tell anyone – I am self conscience about it and I haven’t even told

        Lance, my own boyfriend! :0-)

        Thanks!

        Sarah

OMG, Sarah, I am so, so sorry. I honestly don’t know what happened. I must have cut and pasted it from my email and then hit “post message.” I am devastated and totally sorry.

No additional value judgments have been made from my perspective. Peace.

I am sorry to have to see Sarah go through this, and I am going to make a gesture of solidarity by sharing one of my own conditions, which is Beaver Fever. It is basically a parasite that I got by drinking a Long Island Ice Tea that Gerry made using water directly out of Lake Tahoe during our 10th anniversary (car camping).

But it can stick with you and I did mention it on my health care questionnaire.
